Policies and Procedures during Covid 19

 

 

While Covid 19 is an active concern in our community we are taking every precaution required and suggested by the state of North Carolina and The NC board of Massage and Bodywork Therapies when working with clients. We have deeply missed all of you and look forward to working together again. We encourage you to always do what you feel is safest for your health. If you are not ready to return to massage we absolutely understand and we will look forward to making time to work with you when you are ready. If you are in a high risk population for Covid 19 and under extended shelter-in-place recommendations we encourage you to wait to return to massage but we will leave that decision up to you.

 

 

NEW SAFETY PROTOCALS

 

What we are doing to protect each of you:

We will be taking turns seeing clients so that only one practitioner is at the office at a time.

We will be spacing session at least 30 minutes apart and using the time to keep everything safe and clean

We will be wearing a mask at all times

We will be sanitizing all commonly touched surfaces in-between every session

All cloth materials will be changed between each session

 

What we ask that you do:

Please wear a mask when you come for your massage, if you do not have a mask we will have disposables available for your use while you are with us.

Please wait to enter our office until 5 minutes before your treatment time, this will help to avoid multiple clients being in the space at once and give us ample time to sanitize from our previous session

Please sanitize your hands when you arrive, sanitizer will be available in the waiting area

Please do a health self-assessment before every session you come in for.

 

How sessions will change

It is most important to us that everyone stay safe and healthy. Receiving massage is an important part of staying healthy but at this time we need to take extra precautions to provide and receive safely and effectively.

We will be asking you to do a health self-assessment before every appointment. If you have any concerns about your chance of carrying illness we ask you to reschedule your massage. There will be no cancellation fees and we will find a new time to see you as soon as it is wise to do so. We will also be staying out of work and rescheduling if we haven any symptoms or exposure concerns. As conversation is a bit harder with masks on, we would like to take this time to practice being quite together, to allow you to focus on your massage experience and to give your body and soul time to heal.

 

Health Self-assessment:

  • Have you had a fever in the last 24 hours of 100°F or above?

  • Do you now, or have you recently had, any respiratory or flu symptoms, sore throat, or shortness of breath?

  • Have you been in contact with anyone in the last 14 days who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 or has coronavirus-type symptoms?

 

Cancellation: If for any reason you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please CALL as soon as possible so that we may have time to offer your appointment to another client in need.

Please be on time. We schedule a bit of leeway on either side of each appointment so that we can have time to check in on your current needs, update health history, assess your treatment, and sanitize the space for everyone's safety. We will always try to work for exactly the time we have reserved for you but if you are not on time we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete your full session. You will be expected to pay full price. If you are more than 15 minutes late your session will be canceled and treated as a no show. You are welcome to arrive 5 minutes early to avoid these concerns. If you know you will be late, please let us know.

 

If you have trouble remembering your appointment times we are happy to give you a confirmation call. Please let us know if you need this service.

 

If your practitioner is late: we will pro-rate the time remaining, or give you your full time if both our schedules allow.
