Specialty Sessions
Sticks and Stones
This session blends heated basalt stones, Himalayan salt stones, and warm Bamboo sticks to create a full experience of resetting and renewing the muscular and other soft tissue structures. Both bamboo and stones function as tools to work deeper into the soft tissue while the heat softens and relaxes into the whole body.

Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy
Vibroacoustic therapy is a form of harmonic or sound massage. Through the use of broad range transducers we are able to bring the vibrational frequency of the music into the table. This allows you to “feel the sound”.
All of our massage tables are equipped with custom build vibroacoustic panels. This allows us to blend vibration and sound therapy in to our hands on work creating a truly unique and healing experience.
Our Sessions
All of our sessions are considered Integrative Massage. This approach can incorporate a variety of modalities to ensure the best, individualized treatment for each client. Our therapists will blend techniques and styles from their advanced bodywork training to provide the work that best suits your individual needs. In addition to adjusting our techniques we also adapt our pressure to suit each person we work with, because of this our sessions can vary depending on the client preferences and the therapists training. To augment our hands on work, all of our massage tables are equipped with vibroacoustic sound panels, so your massage session has the option to be blended with sound therapy if you choose to.
In addition to Therapeutic Massage sessions, we also offer a Far Infrared Sauna room with a custom Vibroacoustic Sound Therapy table. This space can be used as a standalone treatment for you and up to one guest or added before or after your massage session.
All of our products are hand made in house with organic and local (when available) ingredients. These are used in our treatments and available for purchase in our office and online so you can continue your self care outside of your massage session.
We deeply believe that every person can benefit from massage, and we aim to help bodywork be affordable and accessible to everyone. In addition to keeping our prices low, we offer sliding scale to those in need (contact us directly if you would like this option).
We provide bodywork 7 days a week with hours varying for each practitioner. All sessions are by appointment only.
Our Business
The ironwood tree is often used to represent the tree of life, with broad reaching branches and deep stretching roots it connects our bodies with the earth and the heavens. The old timers in these mountains called the ironwood trees "muscle wood" for its strength, flexibility, and fibrous bark structure. Ironwood Arts was named to honor the human body, the power and malleable nature of muscle, and the wisdom of those who came to these mountains before us.
Our History
Ironwood Arts was started in 2009 by Eliza Wallace in her hometown of Burnsville, NC and has continued to provide therapeutic bodywork here ever since. Her husband, Adon came to work with her in 2015 and since then they have worked as a team while raising their two children, building their home and expanding their business.
In 2022 the business moved to its current location allowing it to expand to add more practitioners. We have worked to add more therapists in order to offer a variety of techniques and more sessions to care for the members of our community. We have an amazing team of kind and compassionate practitioners who work to support our community and one another with skilled and professional bodywork.
