Benefits of Massage
Invest in your health
Massage is considered to be among the oldest of all treatments used by humans. Records dating back over three thousand years documented its use. Today it is an accepted part of many physical rehabilitation programs and has proven beneficial to many chronic conditions. It is a powerful ally in the quest for physical and mental health. Not only can it help you be more in tune with your body, but it can help create a sense of wellness and “wholeness” that is often lost in our overscheduled lives. When we regain that connection, it’s much easier to remember that our bodies are something to be cherished, nurtured, and loved. Valuable for every age and every body type, massage has innumerable benefits.

Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing. Rei meaning universal wisdom and ki meaning life energy. This work draws the natural energy of our world to help the body heal as it needs. As a Reiki practitioner this energy is intuitively combined with my bodywork.
There are some medical conditions that discourage bodywork. Please ask your doctor for a referral if you have any concern about receiving massage. It is also very important that you inform your massage therapist of any health issues you may have and of medications you are taking. Receiving massage when you have a cold or flue can be hard on your immune system and can sometimes make your illness worse.
Please reschedule your appointment if you become ill.
